Chesterton Academy of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati is Moving!

PORTLAND, Oregon — Renee Ozier, Headmaster of Chesterton Academy of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, announced today that Chesterton Academy of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati will be moving to its new campus operating at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 2310 SE 148th Ave, Portland, OR 97233, for the 2026-2027 academic year. This move is the culmination of a year-long search for a new home for the Chesterton Frassati community.

The new campus has flexible classroom space that can expand to 100% of our current capacity. Additionally, Chesterton Frassati will be adding indoor student recreation and study facilities, a dedicated space for dining, and horticultural plots for outdoor education. Parking is ample for families, faculty, and staff, and students have easy access to the Trimet system via the FX2 (SE Division and 148th), the #86 bus (SE 148th and Caruthers), and the MAX Blue Line (E 148th Avenue).

In a letter to current families dated March 13, 2026, Ms. Ozier shared, “[It has] been our great blessing to be a community of families who are deeply dedicated to joyful Catholic education, and therefore very invested in this next step in our school's journey towards a permanent home. We look forward to working with Fr. Niall O'Riordan, as well as his welcoming parish staff! Their openness to hosting our school is a genuine blessing, and we look forward to building a positive relationship with the parish community.”

Chesterton Academy of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati remains committed to the mission of raising joyful leaders and saints as the only classical Catholic high school in the Portland Metro Area and soon as the only Catholic 9-12 school serving East Portland, Gresham, and the Gorge.

About Chesterton Academy of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati
Chesterton Academy of St. Pier Giorgio Frassati is a classical Catholic high school serving grades 9-12 in the Portland Metro Area. It is member of the renowned Chesterton Schools Network, named for the Englishman Gilbert Keith Chesterton (1874 - 1936). G.K. Chesterton was considered one of the world’s most outstanding men of letters in the early 20th century. The school has chosen him for its patron because he not only represents the fullness of faith and reason, but also Catholic joy and common sense.

The Portland campus is named for St. Pier Giorgio Frassati, a 20th-century Italian saint known for his dedication to aiding the poor in his home town of Turin. He is the patron saint of mountaineers, students, and Catholic youth.
